Our approach to raising steelhead is rooted in respect. Respect for the environment, respect for our community, and respect for the customers who enjoy our fish.

Raising steelhead on land is a responsible and sustainable way to help meet the world’s growing demand for protein. We create a healthy product without negatively impacting wild fish populations or marine ecosystems. Additionally, using a Recirculating Aquaculture System (RAS) allows us to reuse about 98% of our water and our proximity to our customers helps us keep our carbon footprint small.

Our growing conditions are carefully monitored and the water in our tanks is continuously recirculated, filtered, and oxygenated. It’s drawn from wells on the property and is clean and cold, perfect for raising steelhead. Biofilters and ultraviolet treatment of the water remove harmful organisms, disinfect the water, and eliminate the need for chemical treatments. Additional filtration systems remove all solid wastes from the water, and the waste is composted for use as fertilizer. Our entire process is designed to reuse everything we can, with little to no waste.
